~** PAINTER DICKSON LESTER: Founder, LEAD VOCALS, GUITAR, BANGITAR,
HARMONICA. Dickson is a 3 Tours VIETNAM VETERAN (1970-74 receiving a UNIT
COMMENDATION, Combat Action, 2 bronze stars and other medals) served in the US NAVY 6
years. Graduated from Valdosta University 1970, with Masters Degree work from
San Diego State University. He loves to help make folks smile and laugh with

~**RON LEVINE : MANDOLIN- GUITAR + VOCALS-

Ron has that rare raspy Chicago BLUEGRASS voice that you will definitely love &
enjoy hearing, he adds great Mandolin choppin' licks, vocals, guitar and brings joy to the audiences with his "bouncy bubbly smilin' personality". Always happy go lucky and ready to play Bluegrass or Jam with others. Ron has been in the Bluegrass arena for many years playing for some great venues. He is also a Mandolin player for the TUNNEL RATS a Vietnam Appreciation Band started by Mr. Sid Orr and Robin Daniel.

~**RONNIE FRUTRAL: BANJO+ VOCALS -

Ronnie is our newest Member and a fantastic Banjir pluckier & always full of life. He is a regular of the Bluegrass scene throughout the southeast and anywhere he travels. He has played literally 100's of times in various venues over the years. He is FUNNY, HYSTERICAL, a "HAPPY~GO~LUCKY GUY" and brings joy to the audiences with his extraordinaire BANJO PICKIN'. Come out and see him, you never know what your gonna get with Ronnie's joyful spirit.

~**SID ORR - BASS PLAYER ~ Vocals - RETIRED TEACHER + A 3 tour VIETNAM WAR VETERAN - SINGER, SONGWRITER, AND GREAT ALL AROUND MARINE MUSICIAN GUY.

SID has been a music enthusiast all of his life. Sid is a SINGER / SONGWRITER
with several CD's under his Belt. He regularly plays for different venues,
Churches, retired citizens and veterans organizations. He is a retired serviceman,
was in the Marines for four years, served in Vietnam in 1969-1970, then served in
the Georgia Air National Guard for another thirty years after Vietnam. He taught
high school and middle school until he turned sixty four and retired from Cherokee
High School. He graduated with degrees from Antioch Baptist Bible College,
Community College of The Air Force, Reinhardt College, Kennesaw State
University, University of Georgia Graduate school (earned his teacher's certificate)
and a Master's degree in Special Education from University of North Georgia in
Dahlonega. We are proud to have him plying great BASS for the BLUEGRASS of
the Mars Hill Porch Pickers.

**Sid also started a new BAND called "TUNNEL RATS" to promote appreciation for VIETNAM VETERANS, He wrote over 300 songs detailing the life of a vietnam veteran from the time he received his DRAFT NOTICE LETTER until he came home to the "UN~WELCOMING" hatred of young people in the USA. He has (3)Professionally record CD's released featuring many songs of his VIETNAM SERVICE ~ and TRIBUTES to many of his fallen friends and comrades, be looking for it AT OUR gigs, on Amazon.com or EMAIL H34gunner@aol.com /or ASK Sid FOR ONE HE CARRIES THEM IN HIS CAR! He has worked tirelessly on this project for many hours ~ Some Proceeds go to help those suffering with PTSD, in the MARIETTA GEORGIA Vets PTSD organization.

ABOUT THE 2019 BAND's BEGINNIGS:

"The Mars Hill Porch Pickers" Bluegrass Band was FOUNDED & started by Painter
Dickson Lester in the Fall of 1992 as an outreach to youth in the community of the
Mars Hill Presbyterian Church, Acworth.

After the Youth went off to college, Dickson founded the band & continued to use the group to play for retirement homes and many other special events in the community around Cobb County, VARIOUS GEORGIA, FLORIDA & KANSAS VENUES including SEBA'S ANNUAL BLUEGRASS FESTIVALS, the BEAR ON THE SQUARE (Dahlonega) Bluegrass festivals, SEBA ANNUAL Blairsville FESTIVALS, Acworth, Kennesaw, Dallas, Cartersville and many other locations.

They have since put on or played in concerts in KENNESAW Historic Little General Civil War Train Museum, NEWBORN OLD SCHOOL HOUSE BLUEGRASS, Dahlonega Bluegrass, Cartersville, Powders Springs, Stone Mountain town and Parks, Sloppy Floyd Georgia State Park, TUCKER FOUNTAIN Tucker Ga, Greater Good BBQ House TUCKER GA, Blue Ridge,The Blue Ridge Rail road, Brookville family Opry-Tenn, Smoke on the Lake Festival, FLORIDA'S Suwanee Festival, Raccoon Creek, Acworth Opry, KENNESAW OPRY, WINNWOOD Retirement Homes
Everett's Music Barn, Heritage at Brookstone, Pop's in Summerville, Poole's BBQ
house in- Ellijay, The Presbyterian Village, Crabapple Festival in Crabapple Ga, and many others. They were filmed for a TV show "The Best Of America By Horse Back- in Lyons, Ga. that was aired on RFD TV on August 8, 2005.

They have also helped with countless FUNDRAISERS for the KENYA CONNECTION
MINISTRIES INTERNATIONAL, LIVING HOPE MINISTRIES, PRECIOUS PEARLS
MINISTRIES, "HERB EMORY'S TOYS FOR TOTS" annual Fundraiser with the Marines at FRED'S FAMILY BBQ HOUSE on HWY 278 next door to the Harley Davidson Dealership, Little General historic Civil War Train Museum with the SMITHSONIAN Museum, Panorama Apple festival and many others.

They have appeared numerous times on THE BLAIRSVILLE HISTORIC SOCIETY'S BLUEGRASS FRIDAY CONCERTS in the old HISTORICAL COURTHOUSE on the square AND ON THE BLAIRSVILLE MOUNTAIN TV STATION.

JR LANGEWELL HAS HAD THEM ON HIS WRFG 89.3 FM RADIO WED NIGHTS BLUEGRASS PROGRAM AND THEY HAVE APPEARED ON THE -"SPAM AND GRITS" Bluegrass Music show with the "OLD FOLKIE' himself MARC MILLER. He delights in their music.

The Band Members have changed over the years but Dickson has continued to pull great musicians together with the ultimate goal to play FUN music that combines JOY and LAUGHTER and makes folks wanna smile, tap their TOES & feet, sing along and be pleasing to the ears of the audience.

The former 2005 Porch Pickers also played in a live 2 hour Christmas concert for
our Troops in Fort Riley, Kansas. The concert was filmed live and aired December
23 and 25, '05 in 120 countries on the RFD television broadcast station. Look for
