About The Band:
The Musselwhite Family's bluegrass band may have some of the youngest
pickers around, but age isn't a factor when you listen to their close
family harmony and hard driving instrumentals.
Morgan attended Mark O' Conner's Fiddle camp in 2001 and 2002 and won a
scholarship, along with sister, Molly, to the Augusta Heritage Bluegrass
Week in Elkins, West Virginia in July, 2002. Since then, they have
performed at many European bluegrass festivals, schools, churches,
bluegrass competitions, and military "Welcome Home" celebrations. Cindy
gained her experience in bluegrass playing mandolin with The Hoyle's for
almost 20 years at many of the well-known bluegrass festivals in the
southeast.
The Musselwhites received the 3rd place Audience Popularity award at the
European World of Bluegrass festival located in Hradic nad Moravici, Czech
Republic in 2003. From 2002 - 2005 they gained experience performing in
many different venues in Spain, Scotland, England, Sweden, Czech Republic,
Switzerland and Germany as well as the USA. They were also the featured
band in an article for Bluegrass Europe and were seen on the cover of the
magazine during their time there.
Audiences can tap their toes to traditional tunes like Sally Goodin, Salt
Creek, and Billy in the Low ground, as well as hear great family harmonies
on old gospel and accapella numbers. Rarely does this family get away
without an encore.
The Musselwhite's are now living in Peachtree City, GA and are ready to
bring their music to your neck of the woods!
